Ping's engineers have designed the i200 Irons with a muscle stabilising bar and deeper, longer tuning port that work in complete harmony with the new thin, fast face to generate distance with precision and tour-level gapping. The soft elastomer insert located directly behind the hitting zone is almost twice the size as that used in the i Irons, activating at impact to provide instant vibration dampening for unparalleled feel.
Discretionary weight gained by thinning the face of the i200 has been redistributed to the hosel region and toe area of the club to elevate MOI for increased forgiveness. Head refinement comes in the shape of added bounce and a more contoured leading edge, creating a sole profile that helps the club glide smoothly throught the turf.
