The P&SI-EGOS putter has no bias. It accommodates any putting stroke whether you have an “out-to-in” stroke or straight back & straight through, or open to close; the putter adjusts to your putting style because of the 360° balance. Not just the eyes showing wrong break direction, but seeing too much break or not seeing enough break are optical illusions as well. How EGOS works: EGOS uses a quick repeatable body position plus a true vertical Putting & Surveying Instrument (P&SI) putter to create a specific visual “angle/gap” for each putt during the round. This angle/gap is created from gravity, meaning ALL optical illusions are eliminated. Putt looks straight but angle/gap shows left break, better believe it goes left. On the practice green, putts are taken for varying angle/gap reads, and the exact amount of putt break for each angle/gap is memorized for the course. FACTS & ANALYSIS: The purpose of a putter is for MAKING PUTTS ON THE GOLF COURSE (MPOGC). Period! Some believe testing putters in a controlled environment by holing putts from 5-ft, 10-ft & 20-ft knowing all breaks from dozens of prior putts; that this evaluates the best putters for MPOGC. If the issues with laboratory testing are not self-evident, no need to read further. Others believe that MPOGC is accomplished by getting the ball rolling on the line chosen at the speed desired; and this happens with a “Fitted” Putter (FP).
