I purchased these irons last month for my father but his health will just not allow him to play. These irons are a newer entry into the "single length" iron market that is growing rapidly. The advantages of the Equs A-1 set concept is that the set utilizes three lengths as opposed to just one as the other single length offerings. If you are considering single length irons, these are better and you get two sand wedges. I suggest you go to equsgolf.com and look at the specifications. Each club is stamped with the number and loft of the club. The 4, 5 and 6 irons are 38.5 inches. The 7,8'and 9 are 37 inches. The PW, GW, SW and Lob are 38.5 inches. This setup addresses the complaints with single length clubs of low launch and less distance with longer irons and too high launch and extra distance off of short irons. The shafts are the top notch Aerotech Steelfiber i80, regular flex. Weight 86 grams. Clubs are all matched MOI and CG. Beautifully made. Grips are PURE std. similar to Tour velvet. Paid $1500.
