Offering is for 2 sets of very collectable Ben Hogan iron heads, the head were tour chromed by Golf Works in1996 my plan was to build both sets to original sets. It has taken many years to assemble all parts needed for completion. Plans have changed and now every thing is offered for sale. The original brown shipping carton is included also the Hogan factory display box. The Apex ll irons sets are occasionally seen for sale but not even close to the condition of my offering. The heads were dipped in copper before final chrome. This process is not offered any longer, it adds to the sweet feeling for a properly struck shot.
The Hogan Power/Thrust head was the all time most ornate golf head produced in 1962. I was told many years ago the script work was just too expensive and time consuming to be continued after 1962 which adds to the rareness of the set. The heads were tour chromed copper first then chrome buy the Golf Works. The set also includes the Holy Grail Sand Iron Fifty-Four. This is the only one I have ever found in 30 years of collecting. Price is set for all of the golf equipment shown I will not break up the heads.
