This is a first edition Game of Golf by William Park, Jr. The Park family from Musselburgh won the Open Championship seven times, Willie's two victories coming in 1887 & 1889. The book was published in London by Longmans, Green & Co in 1896. There are 277 numbered pages with several illustrations. The binding is tight. The boards are moderately soiled indicative of its age. There is an inscription in ink on the half title page dated 1896. There is a small old booksellers label at the bottom of the inside front board. There is a hand written notation at the bottom of page 140 identifying the 1895 golf match referred to in the bottom paragraph on that page.The over all condition is very good, but please view the photos and decide for yourself.
