Description

Cleek made by the famous Forgan St Andrews clubmaker around 1880s ., Forgan was named to make golf clubs for the Prince of Wales in 1863 .After that he punched the prince of Wales Plume on all his clubs . When the prince of Wales became King in 1901 Fogan then began using the crown mark . His son joined the firm in 1881 so it is sometime after that year . Additionally this club has all the earmarks of a club from that era with a 4 ½ in thick hosel and smooth face . Stamped Forgan and Son not sons as was later . Sheepskin grip appropriate for that era . A rare find I have been informed by another ebayer that is probably 1881 or so . Should have been stamped with prince of Wales mark but wasn't . A nice club .
