In 1995 I had the first syndicated golf talk show with Pat Fitzsimons and the top-rated golf school in Oregon. From time to time I'd meet up with Peter Jacobsen when he was home from the PGA Tour. On one of those occasions Peter sold me two new MacKenzie carry bags---a black one and a green one. I used this black one to hold my two favorite golf antiques. It has never left my den since 95, so new old stock is the closest description of its condition. Gorgeous buttery black leather with about 15 per cent black cordura reinforcement on the ball pocket and panel.If you are reading this, it's probably because you already own a MacKenzie carry bag. Now the name plate just says Peter Jacobsen Model, but back then it was called the Peter Jacobsen Carry/Cart Model. You certainly know that the Mackenzie bag is the best carry bag in the world, you can buy one new for 1-2K, and it can last forever.To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a vintage MacKenzie bag from the mid 90s in NOS condition has been for sale on ebay or anywhere else. The beauty of this investment is that you don't have to just keep it in your den as I have---you can take it out to the club and see what the other members say on the first tee.
