In 1995 I had the first syndicated golf talk show with Pat Fitzsimons and the top-rated golf school in Oregon. From time to time I'd meet up with Peter Jacobsen when he was home from the PGA Tour. On one of those occasions Peter sold me two new MacKenzie carry bags---a black one and a green one. The black one I kept in my den to hold my antiques, and I used the green one for casual rounds. The bag is about 60 percent green cordura and 40 percent soft saddle leather. I used it for a summer. Everything works perfectly, all zippers and pulls are fine, no rips or tears in the cordura or leather. It does show some light signs of use, some faint discoloration of the cordura and the leather at the bottom of the bag is nicked, as shown in the picture.If you are reading this, you probably already own a MacKenzie bag and I needn't mention how great they are and how long they last. Back in 95 it was called the Peter Jacobsen Carry/Cart Model. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a vintage 95 MacKenzie bag has been put up for sale on Ebay or anywhere else. I am also selling the black NOS bag on ebay. This beautiful green and saddle bag is in great used condition and should be the object of conversation for many years to come.
