Vintage Bob Burns Custom Persimmon Driver Fairway Woods Golf Clubs Set Lot 5 NewI found these custom made persimmon clubs at a local thrift store.
They look band new and have never been swung.
Driver and 2 3 4 and 5 fairway woods.Bob Burns is a golf club manufacturer in Appleton WI best known for his no slice driver.He also makes custom made persimmon and maple woods.These are custom made persimmon woods. They are extremely nice looking.
The club faces are smooth and have never touched a ball.
These have steel shafts and black Wynne grips.Driver is 42" long from heel to end of shaft.
2 wood is 41.5" long from heel to end of shaft.
3 wood is is 41" long from heel to end of shaft.
4 wood is is 40.5" long from heel to end of shaft.
5 wood is 40" long from heel to end of shaft.I am assuming these are vintage because a 2 wood is no longer a common club.
They are very nice looking clubs. It would actually be a shame to swing them and mar the club faces.
They would make a great addition to any collection or a great decoration at a country club.
His persimmon woods are $400 each new at his website. These would cost $2000 total if you ordered them from his website.I am going to start my price at $1400, which is 30% off what you would pay to have them made.
