From the Hogan salesmen literature of 1992: This coming year marks the 40th anniversary of the Hogan Company, and to honor this occasion,
we are issuing a special limited edition of our original Apex irons.
These are the same irons Mr. Hogan carries in his bag, and are one of the best selling grinds we have
made. Only 1,500 sets will be manufactured, which will make them very important collector's items. The
irons will come in 2-PW, and in 4 flex only. Each set will have a certificate of authenticity, and the irons
will be numbered using a very unique system (see story below). A beautiful wooden showcase for
permanent display will also be offered.
Each set will be packed in a special display box, featuring an action photo of Mr. Hogan from 1953,
the year he won every major tournament he entered. But just as important to us as his Masters, US Open
and British Open victories was the founding of the Ben Hogan Company in that same year.
This special set is a way to remind our customers that the Ben Hogan Company has produced golf
