Let's call this the "almost got it" sale. My wife told me I could buy a new putter, so I did. Then she found out how much PXG putters cost. Now it's up for sale. Original packaging and headcover included- that's right, just like it were coming from Bob Parsons himself. This putter has not been used outdoors, I've played in the basement on carpet only and at that for a very limited amount of time. Once she said I have to return/sell it (PXG doesn't do returns on clubs), I didn't want to fall in love with it. Which would be easy. The gunboat is a face-balanced putter (best for straight or square-to-square strokes). It's insert is firmer than an Odyssey and produces smooth roll. The high MOI makes it VERY forgiving and consistent. Grab this while you can!! This is the 370g model w/ 36" shaft (I'm tall- but you could cut it down if you want).GUNBOATA modern, extremely high MOI mallet-style putter offering increased stability and forgiveness. The Gunboat is available in three striking finishes and two shaft options to suit a wide array of styles.MODELSFacePlate InsertBIGGER IS BETTERFor those seeking elevated levels of forgiveness and stability, the Gunboat has you covered. The added mass of this mallet-style putter provides more stability by reducing torque from shaky wrists and hands, while offering a high MOI and increased forgiveness. The Gunboat is available in both 370-gram and 400-gram weighted versions. The heavier option is optimal for players using a counter-balanced grip. The Gunboat is named for the naval watercraft designed to carry one or more guns to bombard coastal targets, as opposed to military craft designed for naval warfare or for ferrying troops or supplies.BENEFITS OF TPEThe addition of TPE provides not only a better sound and feel, but also a consistent response across the entire face. The mass is distributed more efficiently, yielding a higher MOI, which helps the golfer maintain distance control even on miss-hit putts by reducing the amount of twisting on impact.
