Don't be fooled by people trying to push off a couple hundred dollar reproduction putter Bob Bettinardi made in honor of the original 1992 produced putters as one of the original 30 putters that are very valuable and rare. The Story:
Bob Bettinardi produced an initial run of 30 putters back in 1992. He gave a couple away to friends and the rest were put in a large box. When Bob Bettinardi moved his facility to it's present location in Tinley Park, Illinois a few years later, the box with these putters was accidentally placed in a storage closet and other boxes stacked in front of it and it was forgotten about for years. Bob thought the putters were lost in the move and gave up looking for them. Some years later around 2000/2001 an employee was moving boxes out of the storage closet and found the box with the remaining putters. These putters were sold to collectors and special golf shops for as much as $2,500 each and more. They still remain one of the most sought after putters ever produced by Bettinardi. This is the putter that started his career. It has never been used, in a temperature controlled environment and protected in a glass display case.
