The putter is the only club in the bag that the USGA allows to be center shafted. Imagine if club designers could make a center shafted driver or set of irons. Most golfers would be hitting the ball straight off the tee and from the fairways. It would dramatically change the game. But you can't and that's why I only design center shafted putters, the most decisive part of the game. The results: the putter naturally wants to stay square and does not try to open and close during your putting stroke with virtually no twist at impact for better accuracy and the most feel for better distance and direction control. The patented CSH (Center Shafted Hosel) is the first model incorporating a separately milled hosel and a separately milled body. The fully offset "Plumbers Neck" style hosel floats through a topline hole at the heel and is only attached into a vertical "putter post" at the center of gravity of the putter head. Each body and hosel are entirely precision milled in the U.S.A. out of 303 stainless steel. It may look like traditional PING Anser but it has two significant performance improvements over all hosel to heel connected putters milled out of a single block of steel. The golfer is making contact with the ball at the point of connection of the hosel with the center of gravity, thereby providing instantaneous feedback up the the shaft into his or her hands. Obviously, on a longer putt, you need to take a longer stroke and hit the ball harder to reach the hole. Physics tells us this increases torque and twisting of the head at impact because you are striking the ball in the center with a heel attached hosel or shaft and the head will rotate and open or close around this connection point. You subconsciously tighten your grip pressure to counteract these physics. With CSH technology, it's easier to achieve consistent grip pressure and squareness at impact for a naturally smoother putting stroke at any distance because you are striking the ball in the center where the hosel is actually connected to the head. The result is virtually no twist at impact to keep the ball on your intended line. The CSH technology provides the largest sweet spot on a putter face, maximizing the Moment of Inertia (resistance to twist) at impact, more than any hosel to heel connected putter made today.
