Three (3) MacGregor Vintage Woods These three woods are all from the
WORLD-WIN (WW) Model CollectionDRIVER (1) -- BRASSIE (2) -- SPOON (3)Appear to have been from the Dayton plant location.Based on US patent dates on bottom -- these are from the early 1920s.
Patent Dates are indicated on the sole plate. Oct 21-19, Nov 14-22, Mar 27-22 and Apr 24-23All have the old leather wrap grips and Black, stepped Steel shafts. Unable to find out enough about the clubs to determine the wood. They could be Persimmon, Maple or whatever hardwood MacGregor designed for the clubs. Driver (1) is Black Face, End of club and grip area shows WhiteBrassie (2) is a Green Fancy Face, End of club and grip area shows GreenSpoon (3) is a Red Fancy Face, End of club and grip area shows RedThese have been used, but for their age (estimated close to 100 years based on patent dates) they are in pretty good shape.If you are aware of any other information on this model for MacGregor Woods, I would love to hear it.
