On offer from my collection is a Gary Player (Signature) Scottsdale Cushin Putter. These very rare putters are some of the more difficult models to find. The "SCOTTSDALE CUSHIN/GARY PLAYER" is a very nice addition to any collection. This model will certainly become much more expensive in the years ahead, mainly due to its limited quantity. How many were made/commissioned is not known . Since they were promotional “give-a-ways” by Gary Player a good guess is 200 pieces in total. A new shaft (approx. 34.5") and grip was fitted in the WRX plant in Phoenix in 2000. The shaft was bend “inwards right” 8.5” from the butt end by John Solheim to the specs of the original putter designed by Karsten Solheim – later to be found “nonconforming” by the USPGA. Due to this “nonconforming” shaft the putter can be regarded as “priceless”. Putters with a “straight” shafts were estimated at U$ 2000.- in 1999.
