Aimed primarily at the higher handicap golfer the new Cobra Max Ladies Irons are an easy to hit set designed to offer maximum forgiveness on every shot through the use of TecFlo construction to create the ultimate progressive set of irons available on the market.
TecFlo construction allows each club in the set to be optimised for performance, a half hollow design in the long irons (4-8) features a cavity with a hollow lower half, creating a lower, deeper CG for easy launch with extreme forgiveness. A deep cavity undercut design in the short irons (9-PW) removes discretionary weight from the back of the entire face area, allowing removed weight to be relocated to the perimeter of the head providing increased forgiveness and accuracy in every shot. Finally a speciality wedge design construction (GW-SW) provides added versatility around the greens and bunkers compared to most other iron set wedge designs.
As with any higher handicap set providing forgiveness is most important, the Max irons have an oversized yet traditionally shaped head design that beginners will find inspires confidence at address and extremely easy to hit, while delivering easy distance. The key is a combination of 'flow design' and the use of Cobra's 'Speed Channel Face'. Flow design delivers visable heel/toe weighting to provide a higher MOI for greater forgiveness in the long irons and centralised weighting in the short irons for more workability, while 'Speed Channel Face' technology positions a channel around the perimeter of the back cavity to minimise face thickness, and flex and recover at impact to deliver greater distance through faster ball speeds.
