| From the personal collection of the late Louis Charles "Lou" Tsioropoulos. (1930-2015) (photo credit: Courier-Journal)Lou was a Greek-American professional basketball player, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and resided in Louisville, KY. Lou was also known as Mr. T, in his professional career in Education. He played for the University of Kentucky Wildcats from 1950 to 1954, and for the NBA's Boston Celtics from 1956–1959. Lou was a 'people-person' who loved his fans and anyone that had a story to tell, or wanted to hear one of his. He received many awards and also collected memorabilia himself, even keeping items that fans gave to him. More items from his collection can be viewed by clicking on the *Lou Tsioropoulos Collection* link at the top of the menu (left side). Check back often to see what has been added. All proceeds, after fees, will go towards a future non-profit foundation that will be his namesake, hoping to build a Community Outreach Center and Gym. You will not only be acquiring a piece of history, but you'll also be contributing to keeping his name alive and giving back to the community that he so loved, right here in Louisville, KY.An important note to add. Lou, and his family, were passionate about animals and had many themselves. While all auctioned items come from a smoke-free home, there may be an animal hair, or two, present (mainly with original boxes). I'll try to prevent this but I must give notice that you may find one (remember: this is a real-life collection and not a mass produced one from a new production facility). Item Description: This listing is described to the best of my ability. I'm not a professional grader and I'm trying to be conservative when describing the item(s) below. Please note: Feedback will be left for buyer AFTER it has been entered for us. I know people are busy but I'm surprised at the number of buyers with high feedback ratings that do not bother to leave feedback for their purchases. I had someone with over 1,100+ feedback rating and they had not left one single feedback for a seller. Seller's rely heavily on their feedback. PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK. Thank you for viewing and bid with confidence! |
