Wilson Staff Tour Blade Irons X Stiff Mendralla Collection Unusual

Very unusual (Wilson) Staff Tour Blade  irons 2-PW. They are a radical design and stamped with a letter "A". No one from the Mendralla family could shed any light on these except to say they knew they were very rare. The fact that they have unusually stiff shafts tells me they were made for someone. For whom, I do not know exactly. But a Pro most likely, as Bob Mendralla did a lot of custom work for PGA Tour Pros.They have Precision FM 7.0 X-stiff+ flex steel shafts and age hardened Golf Pride grips. The 5 iron length is 37 3/4" measured to the top of the grip. Most of the heads show some use - mostly very light. There are a few scratches and some shop wear.These are from the Robert Mendralla collection, obtained directly from the family. He was with Wilson for many years - designing the 8802 and many other famous Wilson putters, irons and wedges.
