Wilson Staff Tour Blade // FG 51 irons 3-PW with Dynamic Gold S400 stiff flex steel shafts and playable Golf Pride grips. The 5 iron length is 38". Most appear un-hit. Several have light ball contact wear on their faces and minor scuffing on the soles.These were prototypes Bob Mendralla designed and made, They all have what appears to be the same head design but the rear stampings vary ( and with 2 irons, their hosel markings) - see the photos. These irons with these variations of rear stampings were meant to be submitted to Wilson marketing for their feedback, evaluation, and ultimately, their decision. I don't believe any form of this iron design was brought to market. This may be due to Wilson's marketing direction of the 1990's to get away from forged irons and to offer perimeter weighted cast irons instead. These are from the Robert Mendralla collection, obtained directly from the family. He was with Wilson for many years - designing the 8802 and many other famous Wilson putters, irons and wedges.
