In Stock Mizuno JPX 850 DriverFlex: X-Stiff
Shaft: Motore Speeder Tour Spec 6.3
Adjustable Loft: 7.5-11.5
Lie: 60*
Looks
The familiar Mizuno blue features on the sole and prominently on the crown. It’s unique to the market in that regard, and has a contemporary feel with bags of shelf appeal. The white graphics and shaft add to the allure, it’s a very well designed driver aesthetically. Better players will enjoy the deep face and short length from front-to-back. Feel/sound
Muted in both. More of an understated “thwack” than other models out there but you certainly know about it in your hands when you find the sweetspot. Forgiveness
While the compact 440cc size may reduce confidence, the weight system and loft adjustability allow you to tune the head configuration for your launch conditions and tendencies so your bad shots improve. Performance
Where this club excels is its pleasing look from all angles, its workability and how effective and intuitive the weight system is. Once you learn what each slot achieves, you really can dial in your favourite trajectory. Moving the weights around does result in a ball flight change you can see; the technology clearly works. My ball speed wasn’t as high as I’d hoped, but this will be different for others and all will enjoy tweaking and testing different configurations.
