Very Rare find! Spalding Air-Flite Golf Balls 1 Dozen unused in original packages & presentation box.-4 original cellophane & cardboard packages.-One has small tear in cellophane, enough that I removed a ball for photos. Other 3 are completely sealed.-Rare Spalding Airplane logo on each ball (looks like red, green, blue, & black)-From internet research, this logo & lettering were used in the late 40's - early 50's.-"Cadwell Cover" imprinted on each.-Appear to be consecutively numbered 1-4.-"G F Atkinson" printed on each ball. Research shows he was an American scientist/botanist in the early 1900's. Don't know his connection to golf or these balls.-Leather-look presentation box is cork-lined. Lid detached. Excellent condition.-Included is a reprint of a 1950 Saturday Evening Post ad for the balls.Extremely rare to find this era of golf balls unused in original packaging.I see individual balls of this model have recently sold for $30-50 each. *Would make a great gift for the Golf-collector!
