The XXIO 8 Iron set features Dual Speed Technology, which maximizes the efficiency of a golfers swing. The newly created graphite shaft for this iron set reduces the clubs MOI and delivers a faster head speed than previous models. The XXIO 8 also features a heavier club head that produces more energy at impact and results in a faster ball speed and increased distance. The new face thickness design maximizes an expanded sweet spot on each iron. These irons are also available in a new steel shaft designed by Nippon, to offer solid feel and even better control. The XXIO8 new Iron face thickness design is customized for each loft to match the golfer's impact area. Extending the thin portion to the upper toe and the lower heel areas create a larger sweet spot and higher ball speed than the previous model. The XXIO8 Irons employ the same MP800 graphite shaft as the driver to achieve higher head speed, even with a heavier club head. The club head weight has increased by 2 G compared to the previous model. Imparting higher kinetic energy to the ball at impact for higher ball speed.
