If you’re in the latter category, the 816 H1 was designed for your game. More specifically, it was designed for the player who likes to sweep the ball off the turf. The H1 has a slightly larger overall profile than its H2 counterpart, as well as the face progression typically seen in a fairway wood. From a technological standpoint, the H1 is a high MOI design, which contributes to added forgiveness on mis-hits, and it also features a relieved leading edge that, along with the club’s Recoil Channel, improves turf interaction. The Recoil Channel and thin clubface, meanwhile, combine to create faster ball speeds from impact points across the face. Additionally, Titleist’s SureFit Tour hosel allows for independent loft and lie adjustment, giving players the ability to fine tune the H1 for their preferred ball flight and trajectory, as well as the exact yardage ranges they’re looking for.
