Quaker Ridge Golf Club 1920 Loving Cup Trophy from the 36 Hole Class A Medal Play June 20th Won by Leopold Karpen. This Club is one of Golf's Premier Courses. An A.W. Tillinghast design often called "Tillies Treasure" has been voted numerous times as the best course in the New York Metropolitan Area. The Club was formed in 1916 and redesigned in 1918. This trophy could quite possibly be one of the earliest known club trophy in existence. Won June 20th 1920 the Winner was Leopold Karpen. A prominent Chicago businessman that relocated to New York in hopes to expand the families Furniture Empire. The Loving Cup Trophy is sold as found. It has not been cleaned or altered. In great shape, has 2 dings on reverse side. Bottom reads Derby Silver Plate Co. Great golfer graphics on front! Measures 10" Tall and 8" Wide at top. See picture for details and condition.
