Vintage1930's Wilson R-20 Dot Faced Sand iron with an original brown sheathed steel shaft and an original leather Reminder grip. The head has rust on the face and sole of the clubhead. The shaft has brown sheathing, the length of the club is 35.1/4".This club is from a period when the Sand Wedge was still being modernized. During the late 1920s Walter Hagen was involved in inventing the Sand Wedge together with a man named Edwin K. MacLain who had a patent on that club which was called "The Iron Man" this club was later outlawed. A couple of years later Gene Sarazen was very much involved in modernizing the Sand Wedge and so the Wilson R series was born. This club is from a period when the Sand Wedge was still being modernized, i have 2 other similar Wilson R- series club.
