Manufactered by Barker & Company in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Gemputter is no longer made today which makes this item unique, rare and a treat for all golfers. About the head: A rare gemstone treasured throughout the ages, jade is unusually tough and durable. The jade selected for the Gemputter is a deep translucent forest green, highly polished Canadian nephrite jade. Jade is a calcium magnesium ferro silicate with a mohs hardness of 7 and density of 3.34. The headweight is 10oz. (The small white dot on the top view is a small inclusion in the stone and not a flaw or damage) About the putter: The Gemputter by Barker & Company was created carefully from selected natural gem materials making each Gemputter different. The unique materials and custom design combine to give an exceptionally solid feel, consistent balance and pendulum motion. Barker & Company used only the finest chromium plated shafts and custom wrapped leather grips. The Gemputter conforms to all U.S.G.A. requirements for putter design and is cut and polished to exacting specifications by skilled gemcutters to ensure accurate and consistent performance. The few times I used the putter it had great action of the face and very accurate. Unfortunately, the putter is better than my skills can take advantage of!!!! The Gemputter is in almost new shape having been used maybe once or twice. It's a must have for any golfer and a treasure to add to any golf club collection. Great for putting or displaying proudly and we guarantee you will not find another one like it. The founder of Barker & Company, and maker of the Gemputter, states that it sold wholesale for $200.
