This auction is for an original Scotty Cameron Teryllium Tei3 Newport putter. This putter is from the first few thousand made where the Tei3 stamp was on the sole of the putter. The Tei3 stamp was moved the the face of the putter in later versions. This putter is in original used condition, including the Titleist pebble grip. The putter has some rust spots, with the toe area being the worst and some of the paint fill is gone from the sole. The grip is still in very good condition.Grab one of the rarest versions of the fantastic Terrylium Tei3 putters, in Scotty's classic Newport design. There is no headcover with this putter. From Scotty Cameron's site: The Newport model draws its inspiration from the Classic 1, one of the first putters produced by Cameron Golf International in late ‘92, and made famous in the ‘93 Master’s win. The Newport has a plumbing neck for 1/4 toe hang. The Newports radius topline and softened edges create a more natural, soft look, and the use of a teryllium inlay produces a distinctly soft sound and feel. Teryllium, an alloy of 12 metals backed by an elastomer membrane, produces the softest feel in the Cameron line. Evidence of the new alloy’s exceptional performance characteristics can be found in the TeI3 Newport’s role in winning the 1997 Masters.Thank you for looking.
