Custom made single length irons 4-pw. All irons were cut down to 36 3/4" (except 3 iron which will be included), which is about a 7 iron length. All the clubs were fitted with the JumboMax XL grips, and then they were swingweighted back to D3 by using a lot of lead tape. I bought the set on eBay from scratch golfer who was trying out Bryson DeChambeau's golf machine swing.
All the manufacturers who make these type of clubs are back-ordered, so he made his first set with some Pings, and this set was from a set of forged Bridgestone J33 combo irons. I had irons bent to standard lies.
You can move the lead tape around, adjust the swingweight, adjust loft and lie, or whatever. Here are the specs on these clubs. (not responsible if lead tape comes loose during shipping, just put some more on, easy fix)
Length without grip: 36 3/4"
4 Iron loft: 20 degrees
5 iron loft: 24 degrees
6 iron loft: 28 degrees
7 iron loft: 32 degrees
8 iron loft: 36 degrees
9 iron loft: 41 degrees
PW loft: 46 degrees
These are the specs I had them built, but being a forged club, they are prone to a slight difference after lots of play. I only had 3 rounds though with these clubs, so they should be dead-on or really close to the specs above.
The shafts are True Temper Gold S300, great shafts.
I think that is about it, they are in used condition and show some signs of wear, but they have 100's of rounds left in them and you'll get to see if you like a single length iron.
DeChambeau had his clubs custom made by Edel golf, and there are other companies that are starting to sell the single length clubs like Wishon Golf and others. But before you drop thousands on a set, you can buy these and try them out. They are patterned after DeChambeau's irons complete with the XL jumbomax grips. You'll be surprised on how well the grips feel after you get over the initial shock of the size.
