You are buying ONE (1) new and very rare Scotty Cameron Hand-Stamped MIZUNO Tour Swan Neck Putter in a Black Oxide finish with Gold paint fill. The shaping and bending that went into making the Swan neck is all done by hand and by Scotty! The putter is in pristine condition with a Dark Brown Leather Scotty Cameron Tour Wrap Grip. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) A005006 is dated 4/4/06. I believe the grip was changed from what would have been a Danny Edwards rubber grip to the Cameron leather at that time. I cannot determine if Scotty refinished the putter at that time or not but today, the putter is PERFECT! Very unusual Cameron piece and very highly collectible. THIS IS A STUNNING PUTTER! Some additional information taken from the pages of the definitive book on Scotty Cameron putters "the Art of Putters/The Scotty Cameron Story" by Bill Vogeney and David Levine....in 1991, before the formation of CGI/Cameron Golf International, Scotty already had a small following on tour and was approached by Mizuno to design and produce putters for them. The then Scott Cameron/Mizuno putters quickly rose through the rank of putters on tour according to the Darrell Survey, the weekly count of what equipment the tour players are using. A competing putter brand complained that both Scott Cameron and Mizuno putters were being counted as being the same so Scotty decided to beat them at their own game....he quickly had a Mizuno stamp made and with Mizuno's permission, he asked all of his early tour players to let him stamp their putters with the Mizuno name. "If you can find a any Cameron putter that is hand-stamped Mizuno, it should be considered a wonderful acquisition." Scotty relationship with Mizuno ended in 1993 when he formed Cameron Golf International.Check out my other auctions.
