This auction is for a right handed 10 club set of antique vintage hickory shafted clubs. All were made by Walter Hagen and are marked Compact Blade. This is a truly matching set as made with two diamonds on the soles. The heads in this set are generally in good condition and without rust or pitting. Yes they do show the expected play nicks and dings but are not damaged. The chrome plating does show wear with some salt and pepper marking to the chrome. Please look at the multiple zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. Great for display but I have included the play specs in case they will work as players for the buyer. Included are (with their play specs) a 1 Driving Iron iron 38" length 23* loft C4 swingweight, 2 Mid Iron 37 1/2" 24* C0, 3 Mid Mashie iron 37 1/4" 25* C7, 33 Iron (really a specialty add on club Jigger) 37" 30* C4, 4 Mashie Iron 36 3/4" 30* C3, 5 Mashie 36 1/4" 35* C5, 6 Spade Mashie 36" 38* C4, 66 Mashie Niblick (another specialty club add on) 36 1/4" 42* D0, 7 Mashie Niblick 35 1/2" 45* C2 and an 8 Niblick 35 1/4" 53* C6. The shafts are all the old hickories and most appear to be original. They are surprisingly straight and I see no cracks in any of them. They are tight to the hosels and could very well have been re-set for play. The person I received them from was using them for play. The grips are all old long leather wraps that are in fair vintage condition. A very hard to find 10 club matching set that includes the scarce specialty 33 and 66 irons. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 12 pound box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay and Paypal take almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). International shipping will be via Priority Mail and also based on a 12 pound box. It will vary by destination and be much higher. I am only allowed to state that I accept payment via Paypal. NC residents must add 7.5% sales tax. |
