◄█ Men's Right-Handed, Standard Length set of Ben Hogan EDGE Graduated Cavity Design (GCD) Midsize "game improvement" irons (mid to high handicappers) but I would actually recommend these irons to Bogey through high-handicapper golfers. Ben Hogan clubs are known for innovative design, attention to details, playability, and manufacturing quality and the EDGE GDC does not disappoint! This set was introduced in 1994 (for 1995 season) and includes the 3-Iron, 4-Iron, 5-Iron, 6-Iron, 7-Iron, 8-Iron, 9-Iron, and Pitching Wedge (8 clubs). These clubs look great, feel great, get the ball up into the air (mid-to-high trajectory), have excellent distance, and thanks to masterful edge & sole grinds are very workable for a cavity-back. These clubheads were cast from stainless steel. After grinding & polishing they were coated with Titanium for a durable, low-glare, champagne-colored finish. As you can see from the 1st & 2nd photos, the cavity-back design is progressive throughout the set for optimal feel, balance, and performance for the widest range of conditions. The heads are also slightly offset to help players (who tend to hit right) keep the ball on the fairway more often by reducing the chance that the clubface will be open at impact. The shafts are pretty sweet - they are called "Hogan VFP" with a flex rating of "3" (Regular) but the shafts were actually made by Brunswick (Later Royal Precision and now owned by True Temper). They are chromium steel shafts with a low-glare "black chrome" powder-coated paint finish over the top. They are called Variable Flex Point (VFP) because the flex point is progressively lower (softer tip) as you move from the long irons to the short irons. The VFP compliments the GCD design beautifully which is why the shafts were engineered for this set. The grips are Standard size Hogan "V-Track" (which were exclusively designed for Hogan as well) and Feature V-style grooves and cord weave - they feel amazing and slipping is never an issue. I believe I have priced these clubs fairly based on condition but I am open to reasonable offers. They originally retailed for $599 (which would be $940 inflation-adjusted in 2016). Owners rate this set a 4.59 out of 5.0 which is MUCH better than the majority of game improvement irons. If you like them, don't wait!◄█ CONDITION: Super-Clean set in Excellent condition. Minor paint wear on the club heads and shafts. Very minor wear to the faces, soles, and leading edges - looks like a season or so. The grooves are sharp and the faces, leading edges, and soles are very smooth to the touch. The ferrules are fully intact and the shaft labels are a bit peeled here and there. Grips are original and still feel great but they have some wear on the butt caps. This set has a Ton of life left in it! You will NOT be disappointed!FINALLY!!
