Being a collector in his own right, Scotty created a putter set of the eight models from the 1996 product line. Each was copper plated and displayed in a custom milled rack. A limited edition of 500 sets were made and were a big hit from the beginning. Collectors and non-collectors alike scrambled to get their hands on one, and a precious few putters could be purchased from those who split up the rack. The rack itself was milled entirely from aluminum, and the putters were made from carbon steel and copper plated, which over time turns to a rich patina. These putters and racks are highly sought after today, a testament to Scotty’s ingenuity and artistry. Listed here super rare, Scotty Cameron 1996 Copper Limited Edition Special Issue new entire set 1 of 500 complete with display rack, head covers and even in the original box. This is the ultimate must have set for any serious Scotty Cameron collector and it has been in the box, never displayed and protectively stored for over 2 decades. Everything is in its original packaging state including all the grips still wrapped in plastic and all the copper heads still wrapped in their original bubble wrapped protectors from the factory. I removed the wrapped heads for the first time for a quick second just to take the photos of each as you can see in the pictures. The copper heads appear to be in excellent condition for their age and only show very slight patina as this is a natural characteristic of copper. Putters are new and have never been used.
