Here we have a really nice set of irons! The Kyoei forged Maltby DBM, in a set makeup of 4-GW, S300 shafts, Lamkin Crosslines black grips! I recently purchased these in hopes of finding something to replace my Miura Tourney blades, with something a little easier and cheaper to get my hands on. Unfortunately for me, they didn't fit the bill. However, not for reasons of inferiority or anything like that. These are Kyoei forged, and feel like a high end forging! These things are 1025 forged carbon, and are super soft! Probably one of the softer forgings I've used, honestly. They look almost identical to the Miura Passing Point, which is what drew me to them in the first place. The top lines are very thin (thinner than most Mizuno's out, actually) and the sole is a forgiving sole. I used the 7 iron in a single range session and on 3 holes while playing, and really liked them. As stated above, every other iron, aside of the 7, is still new in the wrapper!! Anyway, The flight was great, feel was superior, and playability is stellar! My biggest issue is a person thing, I'm just not a huge fan of the black. Thought I would be when looking online, and once in hand, realized it's not my thing! If they were chrome I'd probably be keeping them, and moving some other ones out. These aren't a name brand, but frankly, perform as well as anything I've used. They're really good irons, and very budget friendly, which we can all use! If you look at the reviews of these, you'll see countless positive reviews from scratch golfers to high handicappers alike. If you're looking for an inexpensive forging that performs and offers some forgiveness, then look no further! I'm using the money from these to buy a chrome set! Instead of buying a new set and spending well over $400 to get them, get them brand new (except 7, which has about 65-75 shots on it) from me for a substantial savings!!!
