Welcome!I am selling a unique set of Snake Eyes 600XC forged SINGLE LENGTH IRONS set!! It was a project I and my Pro got involved in this year. Set was built to standard 8 iron length , which was 36 1/2" and standard 8 iron lie. It's easy to have it bent more/less if required at your local Pro due to the fact heads are forged, not cast. Grips are Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound, extra tape added so it's slightly thicker, would benefit from regripping. Irons are fitted with KBS Tour 120g shaft, trimmed to 5.5 FCM frequency so it plays exactly between Regular and Stiff flex (I prefer my shafts clean so labels come separate if you want to put them on). We have modified it further after doing some testing: PW and 9 iron played too long, so they have been cut back to their original length to preserve correct distance gapping. Necessary modifications have been done to the heads - lead tape added to irons 8 through 4 to achieve level head weight and in turn same swing weight, PW and 9 iron had weight removed at first (visible holes), but then after shortening to original length lead tape was added for swing weight match. Please note lofts on this particular set are quite weak by default, they have been bent even further to achieve consitent gappings, current lofts are:PW - 50 deg9 - 458 - 407 - 356 - 315 - 274 - 23You could say PW actually plays to modern gap wedge loft, but it was a tradeoff to achieve better consistency.My honest opinion:Pros: same swing through almost entire setno more mishitts on 4, 5, 6 ironsgreat shot consistencyforged feel and option for further modificationsCons/tradeoffs:"longer" irons have little lower trajectory, it's common for all single length iron setsless sipn on 4 and 5 irons... means it's harder to stop it on the green - didn't really bother me as I wanted shot accuracy and consistency"ugly" looking heads - lead tape and holes don't look good but I was looking for performance and accepted end result as it isnew distances I had to get used toMy experiment was a total success and I am planning to upgrade to new Cobra set of single length irons soon so this set has to go. My experiment was a total success and I am planning to upgrade to new Cobra set of single length irons soon so this set has to go.
