Here is the first of Bubba Watson's clubs ever to be auctioned off on eBay. You are looking at a circa 2007 Ping Rapture v2 prototype 4 wood with no serial number. I have included a picture of the version that was sold in stores (with serial number). The club has a tour issue project X 8A1 shaft which is the shaft Bubba used up until recently - he switched to a Fujikura Speeder. Bubba is a 4 wood guy. In fact, he used to only carry a driver and hybrid prior to switching to a 17* 4 wood. Over time, he has switched to a more conventional 15* 3 wood, however, this is a 4 wood bent to 15 degrees. One of the things that you will also notice about this club is the enormous grip. I have been told that Bubba likes his grips built up with a whole lot of tape. When gripping the club, it feels like a baseball bat!!! The grip also feels like it has no taper to it; one circumference almost all the way down to the end. The grip is also ribbed to act as a reminder. Another unique trait that I noticed is how the grip is installed. It's purposely installed closed. You can see this in one of the pictures I've taken. I was told that Bubba always likes to see the face open at address and by having the logo closed, it forces him to open the face so the "PING" grip logo is now aimed straight down the shaft. Since this is a tour build for Bubba, the head was made slightly heavier to accommodate for all of that tape on the grip side of the club making the swing weight standard. Clubs belonging to major champions rarely hit the market. Circle T putters are everywhere. Here is your chance to own a piece of memorabilia once played by a 2 time Masters champion. A great piece for any collector. I am somewhat firm on the price, but will consider offers. I also have a 2012 signed Masters flag to add so the owner can frame this club with the signed flag.
