First, consider why any golfer would change from his regular putter to the revolutionary new technologically advanced PROBE 20/10 PUTTER: (This scenario applies to right-handed golfers. It’s your turn to putt. You ask Andy to move his marker one club head to the right. You put your ball down and line up your birdie putt. It is slightly uphill, and sloping to the right. It looks like it breaks sharply to the right, maybe four to six inches; one of the toughest putts to make for a right-hander! If you were using any other putter in the world, you would aim the ball five inches to the left of the hole, think about how hard to hit the putt so it breaks five inches, and then stroke the ball. Will it dive left? He plays the ball two inches to the right of the hole; it dives left and lips out on the low side! Andy walks off the first green with a bogie to your birdie, after he had a birdie putt shorter than your birdie putt! You all tie the next few holes, but on the fifth hole you are facing a five- foot putt to save par. Paul is on your same line but closer, for birdie. When it is your turn to putt, you line up your five- footer. You see in your mind the ball rolling slightly downhill, but moving a little to the left, maybe three inches! This time you decide to take the guesswork out of the break by playing the ball off the hash mark toward the toe, to put clockwise spin on the ball and negate the apparent break to the left. Since it might go left, but you are not positive it will, you play the ball inside the right edge and stroke the putt off the toe of the putter face to put clockwise spin on the ball to counter any break to the left. The ball rolls downhill and ends up turning half an inch to the left, and into the hole to save your par. Playing the ball off the toe kept it from breaking harder left! Paul, having watched your putt and thinking his putt will also fall maybe half an inch to the left, strokes his birdie putt at the right center of the hole. But his putt falls four inches left and lips out on the left edge! He taps in his next putt and walks off the green in a huff! He saw your longer par putt fall left only half an inch into the hole, and then he watched his shorter putt on the same line turn left four inches and miss left!
