A very Historical Tankard From the Saegkill Golf Club in Yonkers N.Y. The first Golf Club in the U.S. was formed by Women of the Saegkill Golf Club... Organized by St. Andrew's Women (Mrs John Reid Among them in 1895) Saegkills became "Hudson River Golf Club" in 1915. HRGC closed in 1966. This pewter tankard (Stein) was found in a barn of very old Victorian furniture. Tankard has a small dent in one side (Look at pictures) and the bottom glass was broke out long ago. Picture of another tankard with glass shows the maker in N.Y. was John Frick a Jeweler. This tankard stands 8 1/4 inches in height. Dent is an easy fix for jeweler as is glass replacement. (should You feel the need to repair). Auction estimates for these rare tankards are $300.00 - $500.00.
